Sarah Dessen

I love Sarah Dessens books! Even though I have only read four of her books, I loved every one. Her books deal with real topics. I am also a fan of her books because they never have the Cinderella ending, which is good. But the main character usually finds love in one way or another by the end of the book.
For example, Dreamland is about a girl named Caitlin who gets into an abusive relationship and can't seem to get out until its almost too late.
This Lullaby is about a girl named Remy who has seen a few too many of her mothers marriages fail to believe in love, until she meets the 'crazy' musician Dexter.
Just Listen is about a girl named Annabel who has a rather troubled life with her sisters eating disorder, her unraveling modeling carrier, and a very horrid end to her friendship with Sophie.
And last but not least Lock and Key. This book is about a girl named Ruby who was left by her mother just months shy of her eighteenth birthday, so she is sent to live with her wealthy sister. But Ruby is incapable to let anyone close, that is until she meets Nate.
